GeoMapLookup is a web app for displaying information about the geographical location of your current IP address or any hostname or IP you enter. Besides a zoomable mini map, it provides a link to show the location using the native Maps application on your iPhone or iPod touch.

You can also visit GeoMapLookup using your desktop browser on a Mac or PC to get a version with an integrated Google Map or from your iPhone or iPod touch to get the mobile version.


Simply enter the IP address or hostname you want to geolocate. The geographical location and some additional information will be provided alongside a link to the native Maps application on your iPhone or iPod touch.

    Now iPhone OS 2.1 compatible. The way Maps treated coordinates had changed.

    I can not find the downloadable apps for my iPod Touch anywhere, no links, no website jump links. Where do we go to download this, it looks great.

    It’s a web app. To use it on your device click the screenshot or the link just above these comments. You can then add it to your home screen from within Mobile Safari.
