Sigur Rós Music Videos

There are some Sigur Rós videos available on their official website including the Heima trailers I’ve already mentioned.

One video I’m particularly fond of is Glósóli from the album Takk. (The video is available on the DVD part of the special edition Sæglópur EP.) I just love the concept of the video set in a beautiful but rough landscape, played by children and how the plot evolves fitting so naturally to the music that you have to wonder whether the music is just a soundtrack (a great one though) to the video.

You may need Quicktime on a PC and Flip4Mac on an Apple computer to view everything.

Whoa! That video has a mood about it. I really don’t know what it was about, but the mood was awesome, and the cinematography incredible. The faces of the children were unique, too. It appeared as though that last kid didn’t fly like the others…he just jumped off the cliff and went down, but they didn’t show anything about him again.
Anyway, Flip4Mac played it back seamlessly. I prefer Quicktime, but wanted to see how F4M would do, and, once again, it did the trick.

I thought the same about the last kid. Gives the happy ending a very sad touch. After all, it’s a Sigur Rós video.
