My favorite newsreader Reeder will soon be available on iPad. Twitter followers of @reederapp got a sneak peek of the iPad version of this minimalistic and beautiful, yet powerful news reader that syncs with Google’s feed aggregation service. I especially like the pinch to open gesture for feed folders and sure hope there won’t be [...]

Do what your iPhone’s Maps and Compass apps can’t and copy your current coordinates to your device’s clipboard and use them anywhere. Your device will use GPS, wireless LAN and cell towers to get the most accurate coordinates, just as Maps and Compass on the iPhone do. After a successful location process you will see [...]

The geolocation app to identify the geographical source of an IP address or host name GeoMapLookup got a new mini map for its iPhone version. It is zoomable and cycles through the most important zoom levels (with a nice CSS animation) by simply tapping on the map. The button to open iPhone’s integrated Google Maps [...]

While moderating (mostly spam) comments on this blog (cinnamonthoughts.org) today, I came across a pingback that looked a bit strange so I followed the link and discovered this: The blog reposted several of my posts including the one on Reeder and my latest Emojinator update without linking to my blog or giving credit. As a small gift for christmas, I’ve updated Emojinator with some nice changes: Added fullscreen mode. To use it, add Emojinator to your home screen: tap “+” in MobileSafari and select “add to Home Screen”. Replaced “Send to” buttons with text explaining copy and paste. Removed confirm dialog on Emoji selection to speed things up. [...]

Recently I came across Reeder which is a great news reader for the iPhone. It uses Google Reader as a backend so it is easy to sync your feeds across multiple devices and clients (e.g. NetNewsWire on the Mac). Reeder 1.2—which might get submitted to the app store as early as today—will be quite an [...]

After the Canon support told me there weren’t Snow Leopard compatible drivers for my color laser printer LBP5050n available yet and they didn’t have a timeframe I found this site at Canon Asia with one month old drivers called CAPT Printer Driver V3.00 for MacOSX. After installing, cursing and rebooting I could use my printer [...]
