Denial-of-Service Attack Against Twitter

My first thought: searching on Twitter why twitter.com was down. Which didn’t work of course… This is when http://istwitterdown.com or http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com come in handy.

The official Twitter blog informs about an ongoing denial-of-service attack.

While I’m wondering why a company not making any profit at the moment is the target of a DDoS attack, you can follow the latest status updates on the Twitter status blog.

I’m not the only one who didn’t get the motivation of this (still ongoing) DDoS attack. Security experts are also puzzled.
